ACES Int'l Certification as a Professional Fiber Optic Technician/Installer
ACES International Certification as a
Professional Fiber Optic Technician/Installer requires the following
minimum
"hands on" training:
Proper use of tools for fiber preparation
Perform 2 types of termination with ST and SC connectors using both epoxy type and epoxyless type connectors
Perform correct fusion splice
Perform correct mechanical spice
Operate a power meter and light source
Operate an OTDR - Identify Dead Zone/Recovery Area, splices, breaks and fiber ends.
A 3 day "hands on" ACES approved
Fiber Optic ISP(Inside Plant)
and Fiber Optic OSP(Outside Plant) course is now available.
Get nationally certified as a professional fiber optic technician/installer by
passing this course and the RWM Online course.
Other ACES approved "hands on" courses are available through a network of

VA Benefits - All
eligible US Military personnel and those with GI Bill benefits are eligible to
receive a
reimbursement of $400 (with online course) or $150
after completing the
ACES Int'l Fiber Optic Certification program.
Prior experience in fiber optics will waive the "hands on" requirement for certification.
Need Fiber Optic training/certification for your company or
military?
Our professional trainers require a minimum of 8
students, maximum of 12 students per session.
Multiple (day/evening) sessions are
available.
Training could consist of the RWM Online Fiber Optic Course plus
"hands on" course OR a 3 day instructor led course.
Certification Course in
California
- A 3 day instructor led fiber optic ACES Int'l Certification course is
scheduled for Friday June 25th,
Saturday June 26th and Sunday June 27th 2010 in partnership with Ventura
College Community Education.
80% of the course is "hands on". Should have good mechanical or electrical skills.
Cost is $1695 and includes all supplies
and manuals plus ACES certification fee ($150).
